Poo Patrol

Well I am on poo patrol today. Hoping Rocco passes this bone he ate whole. Yup. His gastrointestinal adventures have gotten the best of him again. Swallowed a small rib bone (about 3 inches long) whole last night. It was an accident on how he got it in the first place. I’m really careful about bones in general around him because he likes to eat anything and everything.

Called the Vet last night. They said if he starts vomiting, diarrea, or doing other things out of the norm to bring him in. So far, nothing weird. He’s being his normal onery self. Went poo last night, no bone. Didn’t go poo this morning (which really isn’t out of the norm). I’m going to run home at lunch and let him out and hope that I see a bone.

Any other dog owners out there have this happen? I’m somewhat freakin’ out right now.

  1. We don’t want to give you advice without you checking with the vet first but we know a lot of people have had success with the cotton ball trick – you can read about it here

    Hope all works out fine.

Some also have success with canned asparagus –

  4. Steve took some cooked bones out of the sink once and everything went through fine. We have our paws crossed the same will be true for Rocco.
