In the recent months I’ve posted several times about working with Taysia Blue Siberian Husky rescue based here in my home of Omaha, NE. We currently have rescued a lovely little girl by the name of Abby. She’s a 4 year old Siberian Husky who is blind.
Abby has had 1 eye removed due to glaucoma prior to being taken in by Taysia Blue. Glaucoma has taken her sight in her remaining eye and will need to have it removed to free her from the pain of a swollen eye.
I’ve met Abby and she is a very sweet outgoing girl. She loves to take long walks and likes to play. She gets along great with all people and other dogs. Since she is blind she has been living with a foster family who also have a husky/mix, Ava. Ava has been acting as a “seeing eye dog” for Abby. Abby has learned her environment and gets along great in the house. She knows her way up and down the stairs, to the food dish, outside, etc.
Abby is available for adoption through Taysia Blue Siberian Husky Rescue. We are raising funds for her to get her surgery before the end of the year so she can be pain-free.
Abby is a wonderful dog and one that needs our help!
If you would like to donate to Abby’s surgery, please go here. Feel free to cross-post this information to your other doggie friends so they can help too!
